Dr. Ann Nwabuebo is the owner and founder of Body Connect Physical Therapy (BCPT). She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Arcadia University in 2004 and is recognized as an expert in the field of pelvic health as a Board Certified Pelvic Health Specialist (WCS).
Dr. Nwabuebo also specializes in chronic pain management, pre/postpartum health, LGBTQ+ health, and injury prevention. With over 20 years of experience, she has served communities in a variety of clinical settings on the East and West coasts, working in prestigious institutions such as Moss Rehab and Kessler Institute, as well as in private outpatient clinics, including her own. She has developed and led pelvic health programs at Agile Physical Therapy HQ in Silicon Valley (the preferred PT provider for Google), Kaiser Permanente (Dublin, CA), and Palo Alto Medical Foundation (San Carlos, CA).
She is a regularly invited guest lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania and has hosted several community-based seminars with her partners at Google, Nike, Stanford Health Care, and local birth centers. Dr. Nwabuebo also offers mentorship opportunities to students and women/minority-owned entrepreneurs to nurture their growth in this specialized area of healthcare and entrepreneurship.
She founded BCPT with a mission to provide compassionate, comprehensive care with longer, more hands-on time. Drawing from her own experiences—as a former pelvic pain patient and a working mother—she is deeply committed to supporting patients in their journeys toward health and wellness: mind, body, and spirit.
Dr. Nwabuebo has lived on four continents (Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America) and currently resides in Leesburg, VA with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, music, yoga, and meditation.
