Although payment is required at the time of service, a ‘Statement for Insurance Reimbursement’ will be provided which you can submit to your insurance company. We recommend that you contact your insurance company in advance to find out what your out-of-network benefits are.
Please bring your physician’s prescription for Physical Therapy. If you should have any reports for a surgery or diagnostic images, please bring those as well. In terms of what to wear, In order for us to effectively assess and treat you, skin-to-skin contact is important. Loosely fitting shorts, a tee shirt, a sports bra / tank top and/or underwear, are all appropriate to wear during your treatment sessions..
Telehealth or virtual PT refers to PT services provided over a technology platform (computer, phone, tablet) rather than in person. With remote access and flexible scheduling, we are happy to offer this as a fast and convenient option for your care.
Currently, Medicare is not offering reimbursement for telehealth visits. However, in light of COVID-19, restrictions are being lifted. We are able to provide virtual sessions for established patients (vs new patients) who are medicare recipients. Patients are required to pay at time of service at a discounted rate of $100/ 30-min ($180/ 50-min sessions) after signing an ABN form. California state law allows patients to have direct access to physical therapists. What this means is that you can now receive physical therapy, even virtually, without a physician’s referral/prescription.
